The Connecticut and Western Massachusetts Air Force Academy Parent's Club is an organization of parents and family members of Air Force Academy cadets from this area. We are a support and assistance group. We support and assist each other, our cadets, and of course, the Academy's efforts on behalf of our cadets. ![]() Air Force Launches 'P' PinsAll uniformed airmen can now sign their parents up to receive a new "P" lapel pin. The pins are about three-fourths inch square and feature a silver letter "P" cradled within the Air Force symbol. A personalized letter to the parents from Secretary of the Air Force Dr. James G. Roche and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. John P. Jumper will accompany the pins. Those who would like their parents to receive the "P" pin can sign up at the Your Guardians of Freedom Web site at Guardians of Freedom The program is voluntary and comes at no cost to those participating. "This is a way to build and maintain public support for the global war on terrorism," said Brig. Gen. Edward Tonini, director of Your Guardians of Freedom, the office responsible for the "P" pin effort. |
